history
In 2007 the clubs Burscheider TG, TG Hilgen and TV Witzhelden founded a handball game community in order to be able to bundle their activities in the field of youth work. In the 2009/10 season , the men's division was also called HSG Bergische Panther for the first time. In the then handball regional league west , the then 3rd league in the handball sector, the team took 15th place and thus rose again after one season.
TV Witzhelden left the HSG in the senior sector in 2009, but is still part of the Bergische Panther through the youth.
In the following years they played mainly in the fourth-class Oberliga Niederrhein and later in the newly founded handball regional league North Rhine . This could be won in the 2016/17 season and thus promoted to the 3rd division.
Since the 2018/19 season, the handball department of TuS Wermelskirchen has also been part of the HSG in the senior sector.

The home games are played in the Max-Siebold-Halle, built in 1976 in the Hilgen district of Burscheid .
