Heiner Oviedo (born December 28, 1988 ) is a Costa Rican Taekwondoin . It starts in the weight class up to 58 kilograms.

Oviedo played his first international title fights at the Pan American Championship 2010 in Monterrey , where he reached the quarter-finals in the class up to 54 kilograms. The following year he started in the class up to 58 kilograms at the World Championships in Gyeongju and the Pan American Games in Guadalajara , but retired early. At the Pan-American Olympic qualifying competition in Santiago de Querétaro , Oviedo moved into the final against Óscar Muñoz in his weight class and qualified for the 2012 Olympic Games in London .
