Heinrich Beisenherz

Heinrich Beisenherz (born March 5, 1891 in Dortmund , † March 24, 1977 in Wiesbaden ) was a German film architect and painter .

Life

After completing his training as a painter, the son of a master carpenter worked in the field of applied arts and decorative painting, only interrupted by military service in the years 1913 to 1917.

In 1920 Beisenherz switched to the film industry. At the beginning of the 1920s he first set up a number of films, but continued to work as a painter before returning to the cinema in the early 1930s. For him he created the decorations for comedies by and with Heinz Rühmann but also for Nazi propaganda strips such as the request concert and the Hallgarten scouting party . Between 1939 and 1945 and 1952 he worked regularly with his colleague Alfred Bütow .

Beisenherz's post-war oeuvre is almost meaningless.
