Heinrich Bulle - also Heinrich Bullen - (* 1545 in Minden ; † after 1595 there ) was a German lawyer and politician.

Life

Bulles origins, training and career are largely unknown. He came from Minden and after studying law (he enrolled at the University of Cologne in February 1567 , where he presumably obtained his master's degree), he worked there as a lawyer .

In May 1574 he was enrolled at the University of Rostock and received his doctorate in both rights on July 22, 1574. Around 1585 he married Beate Reineking († after 1613), the daughter of Minden's mayor Johann Reineking.

At Easter 1590 the Oldenburg Count Johann VII appointed him Chancellor of the county. Like his predecessor Johann von Hall , as a representative of the academically trained lawyers, with the advance of Roman law , Bulle received a top position in the county’s administration and judicial system and promoted the expansion of the modern administration of the princely state.

His position was bull three years later, on June 5, 1593 again and he returned to Minden, where he became Chancellor of Minden Prince Bishop Anton von Holstein-Schaumburg bestallt was. However, he remained active in an advisory capacity for Count Johann von Oldenburg , especially in Johann's disputes with his brother Anton II of Oldenburg-Delmenhorst (1550–1619) and with the city of Bremen . He continued his services for Oldenburg until 1595 and apparently died soon afterwards, as he was buried in Minden at the end of 1597.

BW

The multi-part sandstone epitaph for Heinrich Bulle is located in the Church of St. Martini in Minden and shows, among other things, him and his family: wife, a son and two daughters. The son Anton Bulle (also: Antonius Bullaeus ) was born in 1589 and died in Hanover in 1654 .

The latter was a royal councilor and married Sophia von Anderten . On October 5, 1616, their daughter Anna Sophia Bulle was born in Minden . She married the later Hildesheim mayor Justus Henning Storre (1606–1678) on November 29, 1636 in Hanover and died on July 13, 1673. Heinrich Bulles' daughter was Anna Bulle, who was married to Johann Bessel, Chancellor of Mind. Through them, Heinrich Bulle is also the grandfather of the Chancellor of Minden, who later became Chancellor of Brunswick-Lüneburg, Heinrich Bessel .
