Heinrich Eisenlohr

Heinrich Eisenlohr (born April 15, 1816 , † January 8, 1899 ) was a German businessman and politician.

Eisenlohr was a yarn merchant by profession.

From 1854 until his death in 1899 he was politically active as a city ​​councilor in Barmen . He volunteered in the Barmer Poor Administration, to which he belonged from 1863 and of which he was chairman from 1871 to 1880. He was also involved as the founder of the institution for abandoned children and the municipal hospital on Kleine Werth, of which he was a member of the board. He was a member of the board of trustees of the Unterbarmen Higher Daughter School, a member of the municipal school deputation, a member of the medical commission and chairman of the supervisory board of the Barmer construction company for workers' housing. He also sponsored the "Warrior Aid Association". He was a board member of the Barmer Beautification Association for 28 years.

In the period from 1888 to 1897 he was a member of the national liberal party as a member of the provincial parliament of the Prussian Rhine Province for Barmen by resolution of the city council .
