Heinrich Gasteiger
Heinrich Gasteiger (born May 1, 1957 in Luttach , South Tyrol ) is an Italian cook , specialist teacher and specialist book author.
Career
After his apprenticeship as a chef, Heinrich Gasteiger went through several positions in renowned South Tyrolean restaurants. He then gained international experience in various hotels and restaurants abroad, including the Chesery restaurant in Gstaad , the Hilton Park Hotel in Munich and the Santabbondio restaurant in Lugano . He also took part in various international cooking competitions and won several silver and gold medals.
Since 1985 he has been teaching at the Kaiserhof State Hotel Management School in Merano as a specialist teacher and is a member of the jury for national cooking competitions.
Publications
Together with Helmut Bachmann and Gerhard Wieser , he has already written over 50 cookbooks on South Tyrolean and Mediterranean cuisine, which have been published by Athesia- Verlag in Bozen in both German and Italian and some have been translated into English.
