Helmut Bachmann (cook)
Helmut Bachmann (born April 6, 1959 in Antholz-Mittertal , South Tyrol ) is an Italian cook , specialist teacher and specialist book author.
Career
After completing his training as a chef, Helmut Bachmann went through several positions in renowned hotels in Germany and abroad. From 1981 to 1995 he took part in over 60 national and international culinary competitions and exhibitions both as a single exhibitor and with the regional team of the South Tyrolean Chefs Association. He was also a member of the Italian national cooking team for seven years, with which he won several gold medals, including in Frankfurt, Chicago and Basel.
Since 1983 he has been teaching as a specialist teacher at the state vocational school for the hospitality and food industry Emma Hellenstainer in Brixen .
Bachmann is a member and president of the Brixen Bonsai Club.
Publications
Together with Heinrich Gasteiger and Gerhard Wieser , he has already written over 50 cookbooks on South Tyrolean and Mediterranean cuisine, which have been published by Athesia- Verlag in Bozen in both German and Italian and some have been translated into English.
