Heinrich Groß (lawyer)

Heinrich Wilhelm Groß (born January 1, 1878 in Pforzheim ; † September 28, 1967 in Freiburg im Breisgau ; Protestant) was a lawyer who had been in the Baden state service since 1905 and was dismissed by the French military government on May 5, 1945.

Life

During his studies in 1896 he became a member of the Vineta Heidelberg fraternity . After the first state examination (1900) and the second state examination in 1904, Groß was employed in the Baden interior administration on October 15, 1905. On August 8, 1912, he was appointed bailiff at the arbitration tribunal for workers' insurance in Karlsruhe , where he was promoted to senior bailiff on December 28, 1917. From July 1, 1919, he became a senior official at the Karlsruhe district office , from February 28, 1920, administrative administrator, and then from September 10, 1920, he became the head of the Adelsheim district office . In 1924 the board of directors was given the title District Administrator and he accompanied this position from November 19, 1927 at the Bretten district office and then from October 1, 1931 at the Müllheim district office .

After the seizure of the Nazis Great was born on 19 April 1933 provisionally from the service suspended and reused for December 15, 1933 at the District Office Freiburg . There he became administrative administrator on December 30, 1933 and district administrator on May 1, 1934. From July 3 to December 7, 1940 he was commissioner in Colmar after the German troops occupied northern France during World War II . On May 5, 1945, he was removed from service by the French military government in Germany and, following a denazification process, retired in 1947.
