Heinrich Hoffmann (painter)

Heinrich Hoffmann (born August 30, 1859 in Cassel , † January 23, 1933 in Heidelberg ) was a German painter.

Life

Hoffmann began his artistic training as a student at the Kassel Art Academy . There he studied sculpture and painting. From October 1880 he studied at the Berlin Art Academy with professors Otto Knille and Fritz Schaper . In addition, he was a member of the important German painters' colony Willingshausen in the Schwalm. In 1888 his training was completed. He moved to Heidelberg, where he made watercolors, oil paintings and drawings of Heidelberg landscapes and buildings.

As Knight Hies'l , he was a member of Schlaraffia Haidelberga from 1897 until his death .
