Heinrich Köhler (politician, 1895)

Heinrich Köhler (born September 30, 1895 in Angenrod , † September 27, 1967 in Hanover ) was a German local politician and construction management manager .

Life

Heinrich Köhler was born in the small town of Angenrod in the late founding period of the German Empire .

In the post-war period, Köhler worked in the Lower Saxony state capital for around two decades as chairman of the board of the Hanoverian savings and construction association . In the city administration, the councilor was also involved for around 12 years as chairman of the building committee and for 6 years as a senator in the administrative committee .

Honors

  • Köhler was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit for his services to the housing industry.
  • The state capital Hanover honored the senator for his long and fruitful work in the council with the award of the city's ring of honor.

Heinrich-Koehler-Hof

The Heinrich-Köhler-Hof street, laid out in 1969 in the year of Heinrich Köhler's death in the Hanover district of Vahrenwald , which connects Moorkamp with Melanchthonstraße and whose houses were owned by the savings and construction association as a residential complex for the elderly , has since honored the managing director of the housing association posthumously .
