Heinrich Ludwig Bolze

Heinrich Ludwig Bolze (born May 13, 1813 in Brandenburg an der Havel , † December 15, 1888 in Cottbus ) was a Prussian teacher and writer .

Career

Bolze was born the son of a master bookbinder. From the age of six to twelve he lived with his grandparents in Werder (Havel) . Then he attended grammar school in Brandenburg an der Havel and began studying mathematics and natural sciences at the University of Berlin at Easter 1832. He secured his livelihood through private lessons and was, among other things, a tutor in the house of State Councilor Wilkens in Staffelde for five months . At Easter 1834 he moved to the University of Greifswald .

From July 1836 he was a teacher at the Putbus pedagogy . From Easter 1841 on he taught at the Saldern Realschule in Brandenburg and in October of the same year came to the Luisenstädtische Realschule in Berlin as a senior teacher . In autumn 1845 he became a senior teacher at the Friedrich-Wilhelm-Gymnasium in Cottbus, where he worked until he retired at Easter 1882.
