Heinrich Schödl

Heinrich Schödl or Jindřich Schödel , also Jindřich Schödl (born April 1, 1777 in Tachau , † January 31, 1838 in Prague ) was a Bohemian miniature and portrait painter .

Life

Schödl was the son of the Tachau school director Franz Schödel and his wife Barbara Schödel, née Dollhopf.

From 1807 he was a student of the miniature painter Anton Bayer (1768-1833; also Antonín Payer ) at the Academy of Fine Arts (AVU) in Prague and then belonged to the Prague artists' movement. Pictures of him were exhibited in miniature painting exhibitions in Reichenberg (1903), Vienna (1905), Lemberg (1912) and Prague (1913).

He was married to Anna Schödl, née Fiala, from Prague.
