Heinrich Schuster-Woldan

Georg Heinrich Schuster-Woldan (born April 23, 1829 in Münsterberg , Lower Silesia , † April 6, 1899 in Munich ), actually: Heinrich Schuster , was a German lawyer and poet who published his poetic works under the pseudonym Heinrich Woldan .

Life

The son of a doctor attended high school in Breslau and studied 1850-1853 at the city's University of Law, Literature and Philosophy.

In 1853 he entered the civil service as an auscultator . He then worked as a district judge in Striegau . Here he made friends with the poet Robert Rößler . In 1875 he became a district judge in Liegnitz . In 1880 he retired for health reasons and moved to his son in Munich, where he died at the age of 69.

Literary work

Together with his friend Robert Rößler, he published a volume of poetry in Breslau in 1873 with the title Aus der Güntherstadt . This was followed by other poems that were published by Metzler in Stuttgart in 1882 .

family

Heinrich Schuster was married to Clara Seifart. The marriage had several children, including the painters Georg and Raffael Schuster-Woldan .
