Heinrich Soest

Heinrich-Wilhelm Soest (born September 17, 1897 in Altenhasungen , †  April 13, 1962 in Pinneberg ) was a German politician ( NSDAP ).

Live and act

After attending elementary school in Altenhasungen, Soest was trained at the agricultural school in Hofgeismar and at the agricultural seminar in Kassel- Wolfsanger. In 1915 he joined the 82nd Infantry Regiment in Göttingen . From 1915 to 1918 he fought with the 83rd Infantry Regiment on the Western Front in the First World War .

After the war Soest worked as a farmer. In addition, he held several managerial positions as an agricultural official and estate inspector in large farms.

In the Reichstag election of July 1932 , Soest was elected to the Reichstag for the first time for constituency 16 (South Hanover-Braunschweig) . After leaving the Reichstag in the November 1932 elections, he was able to move into parliament again in the March 1933 elections, which this time he belonged to until May 1945 without interruption.

From 1929 Soest was SA leader in southern Hanover . From July 1932 in the rank of SA Oberführer, he first led the SA sub-group in Göttingen, then from September 1933 in the rank of SA brigade leader of the Göttingen SA brigade. In July 1937 he moved to SA Brigade 61 in Hanover, of which he was a member until 1945.
