Heinrich Teller

Heinrich Teller (born July 23, 1910 in Niedersalzbrunn , Waldenburg district , province of Silesia , † March 6, 2008 in Berlin ) was a German dermatologist .

Life

Teller came from a Silesian pastor family . After graduating from high school in Waldenburg in 1930 , he studied medicine at the University of Breslau . During his studies he became a member of the Corps Silesia in 1931 . After further studies at the universities in Rostock and Kiel , he passed his medical state examination in 1935 and became a military doctor .

After the Second World War he became a specialist in skin diseases and head of the municipal hospital in Berlin-Britz . In 1952 he completed his habilitation. At the Free University of Berlin he worked as an adjunct professor in teaching.

The annual Heinrich Teller lecture was launched in his honor .

Heinrich Teller died on March 6, 2008 at the age of 97 in a retirement home on the Lietzensee in Berlin . His grave is in the state-owned cemetery Heerstraße in Berlin-Westend .
