Heinrich Trapp (born May 17, 1951 in Schermau , Frauenbiburg community , today part of Dingolfing ) is a German politician ( SPD ). From 1991 to 2020 he was district administrator of the district of Dingolfing-Landau .

Life

Trapp attended elementary school in Frauenbiburg and the Dingolfing grammar school and studied educational science at the University of Regensburg . From 1976 he worked as a teacher at primary and secondary schools in Reisbach and Dingolfing. In 1977, Trapp was multiple champion of the quiz show with six appearances on the television program The Grand Prize (subject: athletics at the Olympic Games).

Heinrich Trapp has been married to his wife Marianne Trapp (née Raith) since 1975. He has a daughter and a son. His daughter Christine ran for the mayor's office of the city of Dingolfing in the 2020 local elections .

Political offices

From 1978 Trapp was district councilor in the district of Dingolfing-Landau and market council in Reisbach, from 1984 he was SPD district chairman. From 1986 until his early resignation on August 8, 1991 as a result of his election as district administrator, he was a member of the Bavarian state parliament . In the state parliament, Trapp was a member of the cultural policy committee and the petitions committee as well as youth policy spokesman for the SPD parliamentary group.

District Administrator

After Trapp's predecessor Fritz Ettengruber ( CSU ) died unexpectedly in office on March 17, 1991 at the age of 51, Trapp defeated the hastily nominated CSU candidate Hans Viertlböck in the district election that followed on June 24 with 56.6 percent of the valid votes . Viertlböck received 37.1 percent, Helmut Pix ( ÖDP / party-free environmentalists) 4.3 percent and Ruth Winklhofer-Zanardo ( FDP ) 2.0 percent. On June 1, 1997, Georg Eberl stood for the CSU against the incumbent district administrator and was clearly defeated with 24.4 percent of the valid votes against 75.6 percent for Trapp. The next district election was brought forward to the date of the local election on March 3, 2002. Trapp was unopposed and received 95.0 percent of the valid votes. On March 17, 2008, Dr. Helmut Steininger against Trapp and received 29.7 percent of the valid votes (70.3 percent for Trapp). On March 16, 2014, Trapp was elected to his fifth and final term of office with 91.7 percent of the vote, again without a candidate. Trapp has been the longest-serving district administrator in Bavaria since taking up his last term of office on May 1, 2014. In the local elections on March 15, 2020, he could no longer stand for election due to the age limit for district administrators in the Bavarian electoral law. Trapp was replaced on May 1st by Werner Bumeder (CSU) in the office of district administrator.
