Heinrich Wahlen

Heinrich Wahlen (born June 9, 1930 in Ludweiler , today Völklingen , † August 24, 2002 there ) was a German politician of the SPD .

Wahlen trained as a lathe operator and worked in the Völklinger Hütte from 1944 to 1970 .

In September 1955 elections joined the SPD. From 1964 until 1990 he was chairman of the Ludweiler local association. For a while he was also vice chairman of the Jusos . From 1967 to 1970 he sat on the board of the Saarbrücken sub-association , from 1972 to 1974 on the state board. In 1970 the sub-district of the SPD in Saarbrücken elected him as its deputy chairman, and in 1974 as its chairman. A little later he also became deputy chairman of the Saarland SPD .

In 1956, elections were elected to the municipal council of Ludweiler, from 1964 until the dissolution as a result of the regional reform , he was mayor of the municipality. After being incorporated into the city of Völklingen, he was a member of the Ludweiler local council and was the mayor there.

In 1968 elections rose to the position of second alderman in the district of Saarbrücken , in 1974 he was re-elected as alderman, rather he held the office of first alderman in the Saarbrücken city association from 1985 to 1993 .

From 1970 to 1975 elections belonged to the Saarland state parliament for one electoral period.

In addition, elections from 1974 was also chairman of the DRK Saarbrücken-Land.
