Heinrich Söncke Theodor Wolf (born September 18, 1801 in Krummendiek , † April 2, 1887 in Ballenstedt ) was a German Protestant theologian. In 1855 he was appointed the first pastor of the Great Church in Bremerhaven.

Life

Heinrich Wolf his father was Konrad Heinrich Wolf , who later became the main preacher in Wilster .

Wolf was ordained on September 30, 1827 . The place of employment was Hemmingstedt until 1835 . Then he was the main pastor in Kiel . He was involved in the Schleswig-Holstein survey . In 1848 he was elected to the Schleswig-Holstein state assembly for the constituency of Wilster . In the Duchy of Holstein he was released by the Danes in 1854. When Bremerhaven's Great Church - from 1927 the Mayor Smidt Memorial Church - was built and the pastor was wanted, Wolf prevailed over five other candidates.

"Although he emerged from a Lutheran regional church, he was heartily attached to the Union."

He took office on January 18, 1856. The freedom of a Christian was for him the highest commandment. On December 13, 1875, he held the funeral service for the 85 Bremerhaven victims of the attack on the Moselle . He was retired on September 30, 1880 .
