Heinrich d'Elvert

Heinrich Freiherr d'Elvert (born April 4, 1853 in Brno , † April 7, 1926 in Vienna ) was an Austrian lawyer and politician .

Life

Born as the son of Christian d'Elvert , Heinrich d'Elvert studied law in Graz and Vienna after attending grammar school in Brno . During his studies in 1870 he became a member of the Stiria Graz fraternity . After completing his studies, he began a career in the judicial service and became council secretary in 1889, regional judge in 1893 and councilor in 1906 . He was a member of the German Progressive Party and chairman in Moravia for it . In 1895 he became a member of the Brno City Council and in 1896 a member of the Moravian Parliament . From 1897 to 1918 he was a member of theImperial Council for the constituency of Brno City. From 1918 to 1919 he was a member of the Provisional National Assembly in Vienna for the German National Party . In 1912 he became an honorary citizen of Brno.
