Heinrich von Aretin

Heinrich Maria Freiherr von Aretin (born May 1, 1875 in Haidenburg ; † October 15, 1943 there ) was a Bavarian landowner and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Heinrich von Aretin came from the Aretin family and was the son of the landowner and member of the Reichstag, Ludwig von Aretin . He initially received private tuition and then attended the Royal Wilhelmsgymnasium in Munich from 1887 to 1893 . At the same time he was a pupil of the Royal Bavarian Pagerie from 1888 to 1893. He studied at the Universities of Freiburg in Switzerland from 1893/94, in Munich from 1894 to 1897 and at the Tharandt Forest Academy (Saxony) in 1897/98. In 1901 he received his doctorate in Heidelberg. He then did a legal internship in Vilshofen , Traunstein and Munich from 1898 to 1901 and since then has managed his father's goods (agriculture, forestry and brewery). In 1894/95 he served as a one-year volunteer in the Royal Bavarian 1st Heavy Rider Regiment and was later Rittmeister of the regiment's reserve. From 1907 he was the first director of the Lower Bavarian Christian Farmers' Association and from 1906 to 1909 head of the Lower Bavarian purchasing and sales cooperative in Landshut. Between 1909 and 1918 he was hereditary Imperial Councilor of the Bavarian Crown.

From 1913 to 1918 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of Niederbayern 1 ( Landshut , Dingolfing , Vilsbiburg ) and the German Center Party .
