Ludwig von Aretin

Ludwig Freiherr von Aretin (born March 19, 1845 in Haidenburg ; † February 5, 1882 there ) was a landowner and a member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Ludwig came from the Aretin family . He was a son of the Reichstag member Peter Karl von Aretin and his wife Franziska, born von Gumppenberg (1823-1858). The district president Anton von Aretin was his younger brother.

He attended the Pagerie the Ludwigsgymnasium in Munich and studied in Munich law . After the theoretical exam, he practiced for two years at several courts and offices. He also studied forestry and agriculture in Tharandt and Hohenheim . As a sub-lieutenant for the duration of the war, he took part in the 5th Chevaulegers Regiment of the Bavarian Army in the war against Prussia in 1866 . In 1868 Aretin completed his service as a one-year volunteer and was then dismissed from the Landwehr . He experienced the war against France in 1870/71 in the 3rd Chevaulegers Regiment .

Aretin works as a farmer and administration on his father's property. He was married to Mary Howard since 1872 , and their son Heinrich was born in 1875 .

From 1874 to 1880 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the center and represented the Schwaben 4 constituency as a member ( Illertissen , Neu-Ulm , Memmingen ). On October 4, 1880, he resigned his seat in the Reichstag.
