Heinrich von Poser and Groß-Naedlitz (* August 23, 1599 ; † September 13, 1661 ) was the chief tax collector and state officer of the Schweidnitz estates and world traveler.

Life

Heinrich von Poser and Groß-Naedlitz came from the house of Riemberg of the Poser family . His parents were Georg von Poser and Groß-Naedlitz , who died early, and Margaretha von Keltsch (see discussion). He went to school in Schweidnitz , then he was a student at the Maria Magdalenen grammar school in Breslau . He then studied at the University of Marburg . After the beginning of the Thirty Years' War he returned to Schweidnitz, but in 1620 he began a journey to Venice , from where he drove on to Constantinople on November 14, 1620 . This was the beginning of his great journey that would take him to India and from which he did not return until six years later. After his return he initially devoted himself to the task of putting his home, which had been neglected by the war, in order.

Poser married the widow Katharina von Schnorbein and Weicherau née von Bock on June 26, 1629 , on Oberecke. After her death on June 30, 1632, he married Elisabeth von Lest from the Welkersdorf-Hohlstein family. The first marriage had the son Heinrich, the second had five daughters and three sons.

After his marriage he took on the role of chief tax collector. Later, the estates of the principalities of Schweidnitz and Jauer appointed him to their state estates , a task that he fulfilled to everyone's satisfaction until his death. He died on September 13, 1661 and was buried in the crypt of St. Elisabeth's Church in Breslau.
