Heinrich von Saldern

Heinrich von Saldern (born February 22, 1694 - † May 21, 1745 in Kosel ) was a Prussian major general . Most recently he was chief of garrison regiment No. 6 , commandant von Cosel and governor von Zossen .

His parents were Aschwin von Saldern (* August 7, 1656; † 1714) and Anna Dorothea von Ingersleben (* June 16, 1672; † April 27, 1759) from the Schrepkau family and daughter of Heinrich Rudolf von Ingersleben . Major General Wilhelm von Saldern was his brother. His father was the heir of Garß and Reckentin.

In 1715 he was the youngest second lieutenant in the 1st Grenadier Battalion of King Friedrich Wilhelm's body regiment . He took part in the Pomeranian campaign in 1715/1716 . When Frederick II became king, he soon appointed Saldern colonel and on October 15, 1740, gave him the administration of Freienwalde and Neuenhagen . In 1743 he received the Garrison Regiment von Cosel and a short time later became Major General. He died in Cosel on May 21, 1745.
