Ludwig Karl Heinrich Weber , from 1875 by Weber , (born December 8, 1818 in Stuttgart , † April 17, 1890 in Tübingen ) was a German agricultural economist and professor of forestry and agriculture.

Life

During his studies in 1835 he became a member of the Germania Tübingen fraternity . Heinrich von Weber was in 1845 together with Bernhard Ulrichs co-founder of the Kurhessische Landwirtschaftliche Lehranstalt Beberbeck near Kassel . From spring 1845 to autumn 1848 he was estate manager there and from autumn 1845 teacher of agriculture at this institution.

In 1851 he married Mathilde Walz, who later became known as Mathilde Weber as an important women's rights activist. From 1850 to 1954, as an economist and successor to his father-in-law, he was director of the agricultural school in Ellwangen, which was founded in 1842 . In 1854 he was appointed to the University of Tübingen. Until the end of his life he was professor of forestry and agriculture there. In 1858 he signed a lease for the Bläsiberg estate near Tübingen. In 1870 the couple moved to Neckarhalde 52 in Tübingen .

Ennoblement

Heinrich von Weber received the Knight's Cross First Class of the Order of the Württemberg Crown in 1875 , which was associated with the elevation to the personal, non-inheritable nobility . In 1877 he received the medal in the form of a crown.

He was a member of the German party . In 1880 he moved up for Friedrich Ludwig von Geß in the constituency for the upper office of Tübingen in the Württemberg state parliament . He belonged to this until his death.
