Heinz-Joachim Barchmann
Heinz-Joachim Barchmann (born November 17, 1950 in Wunstorf - Idensen ; also Achim Barchmann ) is a German politician ( SPD ) and trade unionist. Heinz-Joachim Barchmann was a member of the German Bundestag from 2009 to 2017 .
Professional career
After graduating from business school , Barchmann did a commercial apprenticeship. From 1982 to 1985 he made up his Abitur at evening school in order to then study at the Dortmund Social Academy . From 1987 he worked as a secretary in the German Trade Union Federation (DGB) , and from 1992 was chairman of the DGB district Wolfsburg-Gifhorn-Helmstedt. From 2007 to 2009 he was chairman of the DGB region South East Lower Saxony.
Barchmann has been a member of the AOK Lower Saxony board of directors since 1996 . From 2001 to 2009 he was also alternating chairman of the administrative board in the medical service of the health insurance funds (MDK) in Lower Saxony .
Political career
Barchmann has been a member of the SPD since 1979 . Since 2007 he has been a member of the SPD district committee in Braunschweig . In the 2009 federal elections , he ran for a direct mandate in the Helmstedt - Wolfsburg constituency . With 34.6% of the first votes, he only achieved second place, but he made it into the Bundestag via eleventh place on the Lower Saxony state list . In the Bundestag he was a member of the Committee on European Union Affairs and a deputy member of the Committee on Labor and Social Affairs. For the 2013 federal election he ran again in the Helmstedt-Wolfsburg constituency and became a member of the Bundestag via the state list. He did not run for the 2017 federal election .
Memberships
Barchmann was a member of the European Union parliamentary group of the German Bundestag , the Parliamentary Association for the Mediterranean Region (PV-UfM). Since 1971 he is a union member, until the union trade, banks and insurance companies (HBV), now Ver.di . He is a member of the club Don't turn my buddy on! , A sustaining member of the UN Refugee Agency , honorary chairman of the AWO -Kreisverbandes Helmstedt , deputy chairman of the AWO District Association Braunschweig and board member of the AWO seniors and care Elm Lappwald gGmbH.
