Heinz Bergschicker

Heinz Bergschicker (born October 10, 1930 , † August 21, 1989 in East Berlin ) was a German historian , writer and journalist .

Bergschicker worked for various GDR newspapers, especially on topics from German history. As part of this activity, he created an extensive picture archive and published several picture-text volumes and documentations on German history in the 20th century. He received special recognition for the volume Deutsche Chronik (1981).

Bergschicker lived in Berlin-Adlershof . His grave is in Cemetery II of the French Reformed Congregation in Liesenstrasse in Berlin-Mitte.
