Heinz Bruno Gallée

Heinz Bruno Gallée (born February 15, 1920 in Vienna ; † November 9, 1996 ) was an Austrian architect , painter , graphic artist , set designer and university professor .

Live and act

Gallée comes from Vienna and appears in 1947 as the designer of the set for Alexander Lernet-Holenia's comedy Die Frau des Potiphar at the Salzburg Festival .

Gallée initially taught at the Linz Art School and at the Bruckner Conservatory (1953 to 1967). In 1951 he was engaged as a teacher for costume and stage design in the drama seminar and from 1963 to 1990 he was the first professor for the newly created study course stage design at the Academy for Music and Performing Arts in Salzburg .

The artist belonged to the artists' association MAERZ from the beginning of the 1950s . He lived in Leonding and from the 1950s was responsible for the stage equipment for many productions at the Landestheater Linz (1950 to 1971) and at the Landestheater Salzburg . His students and assistants included a. Friedrich Goffitzer and Hellmuth Bodenteich .

In 1973 he was a founding member of the Austrian Theatertechnical Society (OETHG)
