Heinz Einbeck

Heinz Einbeck (born April 9, 1931 in Hornhausen ; † July 21, 2008 ) was football referee for the German Football Association of the GDR .

From 1945 to 1952, Heinz Einbeck was active both as a football goalkeeper and as a right-wing defender at the tractor company sports club in Hornhausen near Oschersleben .

The graduate economist began his career as a referee in 1952. From 1963 to 1980 Einbeck was a referee in the GDR Oberliga , where he directed a total of 222 games. On May 14th, 1975 he was referee in the Berlin stadium of the world youth of the FDGB Cup final between Sachsenring Zwickau and Dynamo Dresden . As a line judge, he was involved in three cup finals.

His achievements led the Berliner in 1970 to the FIFA international list , of which he was a member until 1980. During this time he headed seven senior international matches, including three qualifying games for the European Football Championships in 1976 and 1980 and 13 European Cup matches. From 1981 to 1986 he was chairman of the referee committee and at the same time member of the presidium of the German Football Association of the GDR. He died at the age of 77.

Heinz Einbeck was awarded the golden badge of honor of the DFV of the GDR in 1972.
