Life

Heinz Körner was born on January 15, 1947 in Halle / Saale. He started school in Ulm and attended other schools in Weilheim an der Teck , Kirchheim unter Teck and Laichingen . After various jobs, he completed an apprenticeship as an industrial clerk, and later studied social pedagogy, among other things.

Körner is one of the most widely read German-speaking authors today: his story Johannes , published in 1978, has been sold over 1.3 million times in the original edition alone, making it one of the most successful debut works in German-language literature .
