Heinz Körner (born January 15, 1947 in Halle ) is a German fiction author .
Life
Heinz Körner was born on January 15, 1947 in Halle / Saale. He started school in Ulm and attended other schools in Weilheim an der Teck , Kirchheim unter Teck and Laichingen . After various jobs, he completed an apprenticeship as an industrial clerk, and later studied social pedagogy, among other things.
Körner is one of the most widely read German-speaking authors today: his story Johannes , published in 1978, has been sold over 1.3 million times in the original edition alone, making it one of the most successful debut works in German-language literature . The book has also been translated into numerous languages around the world, including Japanese , Korean and Chinese . It is one of the most discussed works of the last 30 years and has been an outstanding bestseller for a long time. B. for more than 300 weeks without interruption on the “Buchreport” bestseller list that appears in SPIEGEL . According to its own information, however, Körner became known to the wider public through the publication of the then bestselling Jealousy .
As an author and editor, Körner published his books in the Lucy Körner Verlag in Fellbach from 1979 to 2000 , after which he had an independent book publication in the Frankfurt small publishing house Belletris in 2008 , in which he then also sporadically isolated short stories as KDP - e-books or forewords for other authors published.
Heinz Körner lived with his son and his partner in Rudersberg , a small town near Schorndorf . In September 2019 the author moved to Longkamp .
