Mostert played for Bayer 05 in the second division for three years. In the third year, the 1978/79 season , Bayer 04 Leverkusen took second place. Mostert started the promotion round again, this time against SpVgg Bayreuth . Mostert played completely in both games and thanks to the results of 1: 1 in the first leg and the 2: 1 win in the second leg, Mostert and his teammates made his second promotion to the top class. He played another year in Uerdingen before moving to VVV Venlo in the Netherlands . Mostert played in the Netherlands for three years before ending his professional career.
