Heinz O. Wehmann

Heinz Otto Wehmann (born March 13, 1955 in Versmold / North Rhine-Westphalia ) is a German cook and cookbook author. He is co-owner of the Scherrer country house in Hamburg.

Life

Heinz Wehmann grew up as the son of a host family. His mother was a cook. He received his professional training in East Westphalia. He then worked for five years at the Hotel Atlantic in Hamburg . At the age of 25, he passed the master's examination as the youngest and best participant and became deputy chef at the Atlantic Hotel .

In 1980 he went to Landhaus Scherrer , where he has been head chef and managing director since 1981. Wehmann and Emmi Scherrer have owned the country house since Armin Scherrer's death in 1982.

Wehmann cooks in the cooking show “My Afternoon” at 4:00 p.m. on NDR .

At many events, Heinz Wehmann cooked with Jörg Müller , Heinz Winkler , Eckart Witzigmann , Alfons Schuhbeck and Harald Wohlfahrt, among others .

In 2011, Heinz Wehmann celebrated its 31st anniversary in top gastronomy with the 35th anniversary of Landhaus Scherrer.

Wehmann is married, lives in Hamburg and has two children.
