Heinz Rühl

Heinz Rühl (born August 12, 1918 in Halle an der Saale ; † September 9, 1993 in Voerde (Niederrhein) , North Rhine-Westphalia ) was a judge at the Higher Regional Court in Düsseldorf and hometown of his hometown Voerde (Niederrhein).

Life

After studying the law and the military service , he moved from hall to the home of his fathers to Voerde. Here he married Lydia Dehnen. He entered the judicial service of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia and most recently worked as a judge at the Düsseldorf Higher Regional Court .

Since his youth he was interested in regional studies and local research. He volunteered in the area of ​​the Protestant regional church and the civil parish. He was 32 years elder preacher , many years presbyters and parish champion, member of the district synod , the Kreissynodalvorstandes and the Synod of the Evangelical Church in the Rhineland. In addition to his church commitment, he was chairman of the Voerde home association and co-founder and temporarily chairman of the Voerde association . He was a member of the Otto Pankok Society and the Lions Club Voerde.

In recognition of his services to the preservation of monuments and the promotion of the homeland idea, he was awarded the Rhineland Thaler by the Rhineland Regional Council in 1984 . In the same year, the Federal President awarded him the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany. The Heimatverein Voerde awarded him the Heimatpreis in connection with the “Voerder Vogel” in 1990 for his services to the preservation of local traditions and customs.

Heinz Rühl died on September 9, 1993. The “Lydia and Heinz Rühl Foundation” was created from his estate . The purpose of the foundation is the promotion of homeland maintenance, the promotion of legal, historical and theological science, as well as art and culture.
