Heinz Voigt (diplomat)
Heinz Voigt (born September 11, 1913 in Hamburg ; † unknown) was a German diplomat .
Life
Heinz Voigt studied 1930-1933 jurisprudence and became a doctor of law doctorate . In 1937 he passed the second state examination in law . From 1937 to 1940 he was a court assessor at the Hamburg district and regional court . In 1941 he was promoted to the district judge .
From 1946 to 1951 Voigt was an examining magistrate at the Hamburg Regional Court .
In 1951 Voigt joined the foreign service . In 1955 he was promoted to lecturing councilor and given leave to join NATO . From November 1959 to 1963 he was employed in the Politics department of the Foreign Office and in 1963 he was promoted to Ministerial Conductor. From 1970 to 1974, Heinz Voigt was also accredited to the government of Fiji . From 1974 to 1976 Heinz Voigt was Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Iraq .
Heinz Voigt is often confused with Hermann Voigt, Consul General of the German Reich in Zurich in 1939 and Head of Department 316, Middle East in the Federal Republic of Germany .
