Heinz von Pflugk-Harttung
Heinz Fritz von Pflugk-Harttung (born September 17, 1890 in Leipzig , † March 26, 1920 in Berlin ) was a German officer (most recently a captain ). After the First World War he was active in the Guard Cavalry Rifle Division . In January 1919, like his brother, he was involved in the murder of Karl Liebknecht .
Life
Heinz von Pflugk-Harttung was the second son of the historian Julius von Pflugk-Harttung . His older brother Horst von Pflugk-Harttung was also an officer. Heinz von Pflugk-Harttung was Waldemar Pabst's adjutant . In January 1919, like his brother, he was involved in the murder of Karl Liebknecht . In the process that followed, he was acquitted. In March 1920 he was involved as a commander in the Kapp Putsch and opened an advertising office for the putschists during the putsch. Following the putsch, he carried out executions in Köpenick and Friedrichshagen on behalf of Hans von Seeckt . On March 26, 1920, he died in a hand grenade explosion that was caused by an accident.
