Heitzenhofen is a part of the municipality of Duggendorf and a district in the Upper Palatinate district of Regensburg ( Bavaria ).

The church village with Heitzenhofen Castle is located in the Naab valley and on the 2165 state road, just under two kilometers north of Duggendorf. District road R 22 crosses the river on the northern outskirts of the village .

Kleinheitzenhofen , formerly an officially named municipality of Duggendorf, is now assigned to the municipality of Heitzenhofen.

Heitzenhofen, Judenberg , Schwarzhöfe , Weihergut and Zündergut , the places of the former municipality of Heitzenhofen, are located in the district.

history

The former municipality of Heitzenhofen was dissolved in the course of the regional reform in Bavaria and completely incorporated into Wolfsegg on January 1, 1971 . On May 1, 1978, was part of municipality Heitzenhofen of Wolfsegg reclassified to the municipality Duggendorf.
