Helen Patton-Plusczyk (* March 21, 1962 in Bethlehem , Connecticut , United States as Helen Ayer Patton ) is a German-American actress and founder of the Patton Foundation: Sustainable Trust.

Life

Helen Patton is the granddaughter of US General George S. Patton . She studied performing arts at Northwestern University in Chicago, where she completed her Master of Arts . This was followed by studies at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) in London. As an actress, she has appeared on television and in films. In 1988 she had a role in the television film The Rattennest . In addition, she was involved in the social field and traveled to various conflict regions and initiated various cultural projects.

After her marriage, she moved to Saarland in 1995 . There she founded the “Patton Foundation: Sustainable Trust” in Saarbrücken in 2005 , which is committed to peace education . She built the foundation in the spirit of the Patton Foundation in the United States and makes explicit reference to her grandfather. For her commitment she received the award of the Chapel of Four Chaplains. In 2014, during the commemoration of the Allied landings in Normandy , she performed with guitarist Thomas Blug and his band. She was then made a Knight of the Legion of Honor by François Hollande . In addition, she was made an honorary citizen by several communities in Normandy .
