Helene Weilen

Helene Weilen , until 1918 von Weilen , (also: Helene Mandl-Weilen , born February 26, 1898 in Vienna , † August 24, 1987 there ) was an Austrian writer .

Life

Helene Weilen was the daughter of the literary scholar Alexander von Weilen . She lived as a freelance writer in Vienna and was the author of children's and picture books . She also wrote articles for German, Austrian and Swiss magazines, u. a. for " Westermannsmonthshefte " and the " Kinderpost ". Weilen was also an employee of the Austrian radio station RAVAG and, after 1945, of the station " Rot-Weiß-Rot ". In 1968 she received the Silver Medal for Services to the Republic of Austria .
