Helga Becker (* before 1975 as Helga Vogt ) is a German singer of Christian music from chorale to the New Spiritual Song in the mezzo-soprano vocal range .

Career

Discovered by the choir director and music producer Margret Birkenfeld as a growing singer in the Wetzlar girls' choir , Helga Becker initially performed as a choir soloist under her maiden name Helga Vogt - also in the subsequent Wetzlar youth choir . From 1975 recordings in trio with the sisters Annette and Bettina Kriese were made. Since the 1980s, Margret Birkenfeld regularly invited her to the studio for concept productions. Among other things, Helga Becker worked as a soloist for Singt undspiele (1982) and in 1987 alongside bass baritone Wilfried Mann for the project Welch ein Freund ist Unser Jesus . In the same year she worked with Cae Gauntt as a soloist for the concept album Psalm 23 by Jochen Rieger . Her first collaboration with the music producer happened a year earlier in 1986 for the tribute album Many Paths to Thomas Eger . This was followed by further publications with the Schulte & Gerth Studio Choir and, since the 1990s, the Jubilate Choir , with which she gives concerts all over Germany to this day.
