Helga Haller from Hallerstein

Helga Countess Haller von Hallerstein (born March 31, 1927 in Šahy , Czechoslovakia as Helga Kaulich ; † May 11, 2017 in Frankfurt am Main ) was a German politician ( CDU ). She was a member of the European Parliament from December 1993 to July 1994 .

Life

Helga Kaulich was born in 1927 in Šahy in what was then Czechoslovakia and married a member of the noble Haller von Hallerstein family . In 1950 she graduated as a fashion designer .

politics

Haller von Hallerstein ran for fourth place on the Hessian CDU state list for the European elections in 1989 and on December 27, 1993 moved to the European Parliament for the deceased member Bernhard Sälzer . There she was a member of the EPP Group and the Committee on Energy, Research and Technology as well as the Delegation for relations with the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic . After the European elections in 1994 , she left parliament.

From 1973 to 1975 she was a member of the Local Advisory Board 9 in Frankfurt am Main and then until 1993 a member of the Frankfurt City Council .
