Helge Klaus Rieder
Helge Klaus Rieder (* 1957 in Memmingen ) is a German university professor for business informatics at Trier University .
Life
Born and raised in Memmingen, Rieder attended Bernhard-Strigel-Gymnasium , which he graduated from high school in 1976 . From 1976 to 1983 he studied administrative science at the University of Konstanz and from 1983 to 1985 information science. He then received his doctorate in 1992 at the University of Bamberg at the chair for office and administrative automation. From 1979 to 1980 he worked for the city planning office in Augsburg and from 1985 to 1988 for the Triumph-Adler company in Nuremberg . He began his university career in 1988 at the University of Bamberg, where he received his doctorate in economics and social sciences. Since 1992 he has been a professor in the economics department at Trier University of Applied Sciences . He was the founder and longstanding spokesman for the Trier / Luxembourg regional group of the Society for Computer Science . He is the representative of the department in the business informatics working group at universities of applied sciences (AKWI) and was its spokesman for eight years. He has been the head of the business informatics program for many years (Bachelor, Bachelor dual, Master). His research interests lie in the area of intelligent information systems, preferably in the areas of culture, wine culture, education and tourism.
Since 2011 he has been the Trier University's representative for the needs of students with disabilities . In this context, he is committed to barrier-free access to the buildings and rooms of the Trier University of Applied Sciences, the use of disadvantage compensation for students with disabilities and the establishment of a campus information system with information for students with disabilities.
In March 2016 he became the first chairman of the general assembly of the Museum Association of the Folklore and Open-Air Museum Roscheider Hof . This was preceded by a twenty-year commitment to the museum, especially in the areas of internet presence, internet marketing and representation of the museum in museum associations.
Heinz Doering (District Administrator) is a grandfather.
