occupation

Hells Angels vs. Bandidos - The Rocker War is a French film documentary from 2011 that thematizes the rocker war of the rival motorcycle clubs Hells Angels and Bandidos . Directed by Xavier Deleu and Mikaël Lefrancois .

action

Initially, a motorcycle club from Alsace will be accompanied , which will attend the annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally , the largest motorcycle meeting in the world in the small US town of Sturgis . There the camera team meets the investigator Steve Cook, who as an FBI investigator is monitoring the motorcycle scene. The protagonists of the film, the Bandidos and the Hells Angels are presented . Then it's on to Chicago. There the undercover agent Edward Jake gives a short interview. He infiltrated the Outlaws MC in the United States and was outed by the Hells Angels.

The documentation then reports on a process in Duisburg . There Timur, a supporter of the Hells Angels, had to answer in court because he shot a bandido. Obviously it was a dispute in the red light district. The documentary shows pictures of the trial, the security measures taken by the police and shows members of the Hells Angels and Bandidos who traveled to the trial. Timur was sentenced to eleven years in prison for willful homicide .

Then the documentary moves to France, where first several bandidos and then a bandido meeting is shown. The background of the club is illuminated. The next stop is Denmark , where the Hells Angels are involved in the drug trade in the hippie town of Christiania . The filmmakers concentrate on the work of the local police, which tries to prevent the gang war between the radical Hells Angels supporters AK81 (81 stands as a number for HA = Hells Angels) with the migrant gang Bloods (based on an American model ) in Copenhagen . The social worker Jean Jacques Royal who takes care of the migrant groups is also shown. The gang war so far has left 9 dead and 87 injured.

At the end of the documentary, the documentary shows the 10th anniversary of the Nice Chapter of the Bandidos and reports on the peace treaties between Bandidos and Hells Angels in France.

background

Hells Angels vs. Bandidos - Der Rockerkrieg was released in Germany on October 18, 2011 as a rental version on Blu-ray Disc and DVD via the Ascot Elite sub-label HotDoks. A purchase version has been announced for January 31, 2012.

criticism

In the opinion of the critics, the documentary suffers mainly from the fact that, due to the short running time and the isolation of the two MCs from the press, a lot is only touched on and therefore an interesting insight is created, but many gaps are not closed either.

The magazine Screen DVD Magazin judged: "One-sided, not very informative look at the subculture of rockers."
