Helmut Drück

Helmut Drück (born January 21, 1932 in Maulbronn ) is a German lawyer and media manager . From 1990 to 1993 he was director of the RIAS Berlin.

Life

Push studied after the Abitur in Mühlacker an apprenticeship as a banker in Freiburg Law and Political Science at the Albert-Ludwigs-University of Freiburg , the University of Hamburg , the Free University of Berlin and the Georg-August University of Goettingen . In 1955 he graduated from the First State Exam, University of Freiburg and was established in 1960 at the Institute of International Law at the University of Göttingen with a dissertation Joint Undertaking in states connections to Dr. jur. PhD. In 1963 he earned a Master of Laws from Harvard University Law School . In 1964 he passed the second state examination in law in Celle . In 1965 he first became a consultant at the Mobil Oil Company in Hamburg.

This was followed by a job at Westdeutscher Rundfunk in Cologne . From 1970 to 1972 he was a speaker for Peter Scholl-Latour there . In 1972 he became head of the WDR directorship. From 1980 he was head of the main department broadcasting and central tasks at WDR television . In 1988 he was made Deputy Program Director. From 1990 to 1993 he was Director of Broadcasting in the American Sector (RIAS). From 1995 to 2000 he was in charge of founding the German Media Library in Berlin. Drück belonged to several advisory boards such as the Advisory Board for Media Funding, Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation . He was also involved in the consultations on the establishment of the Franco-German cultural channel arte and chairman of the study group for broadcasting and history . Drück, without a party, is a member of the media commission of the FDP .

Drück is married and has four children.
