Helmut Koch (business economist)

Helmut Koch (born September 24, 1919 in Oberlübbe ; † August 7, 2015 ) was a German business economist , known for managing the company.

Life

Helmut Koch joined the NSDAP in 1938 . He studied industrial engineering at the Technical University of Berlin . He received his doctorate from the Technical University of Hanover in 1948 . He then studied business administration , completed his habilitation in 1951 at the University of Frankfurt and became a full professor there in 1955. In 1957 he followed a call to the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität in Münster for a professorship at the chair of the institute for operational analysis. He received several appointments at other universities, but remained loyal to Münster. In 1981 he received an honorary doctorate from the University of Hamburg . In 1983 he became a full member of the Accademia Italiana di Economia Aziendale . His retirement took place in 1984 at the Westphalian Wilhelms University.

Koch was a member of many well-known societies, such as the Society for Economic and Social Sciences, the Schmalenbach Society for Business Administration . or the university seminar of economics ( Schloss Gracht ).
