Helmut Kumpf

Helmut Kumpf (born January 2, 1928 in Herrntrop ( Kirchhundem parish ), † June 5, 1973 ) was a German CDU politician .

Life

Kumpf studied history and economics in Marburg . Then he was a lecturer at the Citizenship Seminar in Olpe . Later he was also head of the institute.

Kumpf had been a member of the CDU since 1948. He was deputy district chairman in the Olpe district from 1962 to 1973 and chairman of the Sauerland - Siegerland district from 1968 to 1973 .

Kumpf was a member of the Kirchhundem municipal council from 1956 to 1967. At times he was also parliamentary group leader of his party. He was a member of the district council of the Olpe district from 1965 to 1973. From 1966 to 1971 he was district administrator.

In the seventh electoral term (from 1970) Kumpf belonged to the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia . From 1971 until his death he was chairman of the budget and finance committee.
