Josef Metten

Josef Metten (born August 13, 1909 in Listerscheid ; † April 27, 1993 ) was a German local politician and honorary district administrator ( CDU ).

Life and work

After attending school, Metten completed an agricultural training course and, interrupted by military service and imprisonment, worked as a farmer. He was married.

He was a member of the district council of the Olpe district from November 9, 1952 to September 30, 1979. From October 22, 1953 to October 3, 1966, Metten was district administrator of the Olpe district. From 1956 to 1979 he was a member of the landscape assembly of the Regional Association of Westphalia-Lippe . He was also active in various committees of the NRW district council.

Others

On June 11, 1969, Metten received the Golden Signet Ring of the Olpe District. He was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit 1st Class on August 12, 1969.
