Hermann Heinrich Mathias Rotberg (born July 6, 1873 in Berleburg ; † July 7, 1945 there ) was a German administrative lawyer and parliamentarian.

Life

Hermann Rotberg attended high school in Marburg . He then began to study law at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität and the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität . In 1894 he was in the Corps Suevia Munich recipiert . As an inactive , he moved to the Philipps University of Marburg . After the first state examination in 1896, he did preparatory service at courts in Berleburg and Dortmund . He was a one-year volunteer in Minden . In 1902 he was trained as a government trainee with the Arnsberg district government and the Wittgenstein district in Berleburg as well as in domain issues with the Potsdam district government . After the second state examination in 1903, he was accepted into the Prussian administrative service and was initially employed by the Wetzlar district and the Lüneburg district government . In 1909 he became district administrator of the Fallingbostel district and held this office there until 1930.

Rotberg was a member of the German National People's Party . From 1916 to 1932 he sat in the provincial parliament of Hanover , last year as president. He was put into temporary retirement in 1930 by President Gustav Noske because he had criticized the ban on the National Socialist Student Union by the Prussian Prussian Ministry of Spiritual, Educational and Medical Affairs under Adolf Grimme in the provincial parliament. After the Prussian strike in 1932, Rotberg became district administrator in the Goslar district . In 1940 he came to the Wittgenstein district as district administrator and from 1941–1944 to the Olpe district .
