The Hemmgraben is a one kilometer long brook in the Lower Franconian district of Main-Spessart , which flows from the right into the Rechtenbach from the west-north-west direction .

The Hemmgraben rises in the Southeastern sandstone Spessart in the field of district Lohr am Main at a height of about 368 meters above sea level. NN the lower whey fountain , designated as a natural monument , on the wooded southern slope of the Hemmberg ( 440 m ) a good kilometer south of Rechtenbach .
The stream initially flows east-northeast through a narrow, wooded valley, then passes the boundary to Rechtenbach, immediately leaves the forest, then changes to east-southeast and finally flows 650 m southeast of Rechtenbach at about 287 m above sea level. NN from the right into the Rechtenbach flowing from the north-northwest .
