Hendrik Jan Hein
Hendrik Jan Hein (born February 19, 1822 in Kampen ; † January 8, 1866 ibid) was a Dutch flower and still life painter, brother of the painter Christianus Hendricus Hein.
Hendrik Jan Hein was a student of Jacob Plügger (drawing) and Joannes Esman (painting) in Hilversum. James de Rijk in Hilversum and Hendrik Reekers in Haarlem gave him advice on further training.
He worked in Hilversum from 1842 to 1845, in 1846 he went on a study trip to Bentheim and Kleve , then stayed in Haarlem in 1847 and 1848 and settled in his home town of Kampen in 1849 .
In addition to the paintings, he also created etchings with flowers, fruits and game.
He taught the painter Pieter Hendrik Hermanus Tholen (1831–1913).
From 1839 to 1863 he took part in exhibitions in Amsterdam and The Hague.
He died at the age of 44.
