Hendrik de Longh (born August 4, 1877 in Dordrecht , † August 9, 1962 in The Hague ) was a Dutch fencer and major general .
Life
Hendrik de Longh took part in the 1912 Olympic Games in Stockholm , where he reached the finals with the Dutch team. He finished this together with Jetze Doorman , Arie de Jong , Dirk Scalongne , George van Rossem and Willem van Blijenburgh in third place behind Hungary and Austria and thus won the bronze medal. In the individual he was eliminated with the saber and the sword in the preliminary round.
De Longh was an officer in the royal land power and rose to the rank of major general in the infantry until his retirement .
