history
In 1947, Hans Hengeler founded a law firm in Düsseldorf and later merged with Heinz-Bernd Kurth and Heinrich Wirtz to form Hengeler Kurth Wirtz . In March 1947 , the former Hessian Minister of Economic Affairs and Transport, Rudolf Mueller , opened a law firm in Frankfurt am Main, which Heinz Weitzel joined as a partner in the same year and which had been called Mueller Weitzel Weisner since the mid-1970s . In March 2014 it was announced that the Munich public prosecutors, lawyers of the law firm because of incitement to false unsworn statement and aid for fraud determined and offices of the firm were searched. The lawyers were accused of having agreed to untrue statements with witnesses in a court case involving the heirs of Leo Kirch against Deutsche Bank due to the insolvency of the Kirch Group . In April 2016, the board members of Deutsche Bank were acquitted in the related process before the Munich Regional Court.

The law firm is particularly active in the area of mergers & acquisitions . She has accompanied a series of restructuring of major German companies and counts 22 of the 30 DAX and 31 of the Dow Jones Euro Stoxx 50 companies among her clients.
The firm also works in the areas of corporate law , banking law , finance law , capital market law , tax law , labor law , public business law and industrial property law . Conducting litigation and arbitration proceedings is also part of the range of activities.
International
